The project is located in the Kunle Bay International Tourism Resort, which spans 580, 000 SQM and serves as a benchmark project for the integration of Handan’s cultural tourism upgrade and new energy industries.

Cowboy has designed and built a water park for this destination — the Kunle Bay Water World — housed within a giant building shaped like the mythical “Kun” creature. Covering an area of approximately 74,800 square meters, it is the largest indoor water park in Asia, equipped with advanced indoor water park equipment designed to deliver year-round excitement.
When the project and the vision of building a “City of the Future” were entrusted to us, our designers proposed a philosophy of “empowering culture through technology, activating memories through interaction.” This approach allows visitors to learn about Handan’s past, present, and future through an immersive water play experience.
The Phantom Slide combines water curtain projection, 360-degree spherical screen visuals, and sound effects interaction, allowing visitors to plunge through a time tunnel and an undersea world. Every second of the ride is a collision of technology and creativity, perfectly embodying the immersive imagination of the “City of the Future.”

With a drop of 18 meters and an accelerating 48-second water slide, adrenaline soars as visitors experience a stunning water journey on technology-driven indoor water park equipment.

The pirate ship is crafted with lifelike detail. Designers pushed beyond spatial constraints to create a multi-level, multi-functional water play structures. High-performance fiberglass replaces traditional steel pipes, and the pultrusion process ensures zero corrosion and high compression resistance.
The spiral slide and small funnel slide combination features a low-intensity design that encourages parents and children to take on the challenge together, filling every moment of family time with laughter.

Adapting to the site’s unique conditions, the designers employed a “segmented scenery creation” technique, integrating cement rockwork theming seamlessly with the slide design. As visitors race down the 180-meter-long mountain-crossing slide, they can also enjoy the beauty of the “mountain ranges,” maximizing the thrill of the experience.

For Handan, this indoor water park is not only a new landmark on the city’s tourism map but also a catalyst for regional economic growth. With its year-round operation, it breaks the seasonal constraints that have long plagued northern tourism’s dependence on weather. Through its differentiated positioning around “clean energy” and “low-carbon economy,” the park attracts visitors from neighboring provinces and cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Shandong, and Henan, helping to establish Handan as a major tourism destination in the Central Plains region.
